The Mishicot football team fell behind 26-0 at halftime and couldn’t mount a comeback, losing to Algoma 33-7 on Friday.
A stout Wolves’ defense kept Indians running back John Peterson in check with 26 yards on 12 carries. Peterson, though, scored the lone touchdown on the night for Mishicot, running it in from six-yards out.
The passing attack for the Indians was similarly hampered, with quarterback Colten Haack completing 4-of-19 for 72 yards and three interceptions. Haack found receiver Jeff Stueck on a 33-yard strike for the longest play of the night.
Mishicot hosts Manitowoc Lutheran next Friday.
