Trailing 14-6 at halftime, the Sheboygan North football team allowed two second-half touchdowns and couldn’t recover in a 27-14 road loss to Green Bay East on Friday night.

Jacob Schmidt finished 17-of-33 for 145 yards with two touchdowns, both to Noah Stengel. Overall Schmidt found four receivers for catches in the game.

Stengel had 10 catches for 188 yards and his first score cut the Raiders’ deficit to 14-6 with nine minutes left in the second quarter.

With three minutes left in the third quarter North found itself down 27-6 before Stengel and Schmidt connected to make it 27-14 with nine minutes left in the game.

Daniel Wild had eight carries for 36 yards for North (1-6, 0-6 Fox River Classic Conference) but East (3-4, 2-4 FRCC) held the Golden Raiders to -4 yards on 17 total carries.

East, on the other hand, managed to gain 186 yards on 38 carries.

Weston Nelson had an interception for North.
