The Reedsville offense racked up over 300 yards in a 28-8 win over Valders Friday night in Reedsville.
After both teams played a scoreless first quarter, quarterback Brock Gilsdorf gave the Panthers the lead when he scored on a two-yard run in the second.
Later in the quarter, Elliot Ebert tacked on a score when found the endzone from 17-yards out. A missed extra point left the score 13-0 in favor of the Reedsville heading into halftime.
It was Ebert who made it a three-score affair when he scored his second rushing touchdown of the night on a 51-yard dash.
Gilsdorf capped the scoring for the Panthers (2-0) with a five-yard touchdown run later in the third.
The duo of Ebert and Gilsdorf combined for 276 rushing yards yards and four touchdowns on a total of 38 carries.
For the Vikings, quarterback Paxton Korslin’s one-yard plunge in the fourth quarter prevented the shutout. Korslin carried the ball 15 times for -14 yards while completing 9-of-17 passes for 162 yards an three interceptions.
Leading Valders (0-2) on the ground was Kade Fochs, who rushed for 46 yards on 10 carries and teammate Zach Blatz snagged four passes for 94 yards to pace the aerial attack.
As a team, the Vikings were outgained offensively by the Panthers 318-242.
