Catholic and West Florida High are selling tickets in advance for Friday night’s Region 1-5A semifinal game, but will be doing so on a select basis over the next few days.
West Florida will sell from its allotment of tickets to players’ families, students and faculty. If any tickets are left after those sales, the school will open up ticket sales to the general public.
Catholic High is offer a set schedule to purchase tickets, and those tickets will be available only to members of the Catholic extended family — current parents and students, alumni, alumni parents and friends of Catholic, by cash only. Tickets are $8.
Tickets will go on sale at 7:30 a.m. today in the gym hall to current Catholic students and families (immediate family members only) and to CHS faculty members (and members of their immediate family).
On Wednesday morning at 7:30, tickets will be sold from the Front Office hallway to all others in the Catholic family (immediate family members only). IDs will be required.
The schools have 3,500 total tickets between them — Catholic High with 2,100 and West Florida with 1,400.
“We’re trying to reach out to the season-ticket holders, the people who have been loyal to West Florida and Catholic High schools this year,” Catholic athletic director Richard LaBounty said. “Once we are sold out, we won’t allow anybody in the stadium without a ticket or a proper credential, according to FHSAA rules.”
