The Wisconsin Football Coaches Association released its rosters for this year’s WFCA All-Star Games on Monday with Two Rivers senior quarterback Brett Kasper being named to the North Large Schools squad.
The Small Schools game kicks off at noon on July 20 at Titan Stadium in Oshkosh while the Large Schools game begins at 5 p.m.
Kasper, who made the switch from tight end to quarterback before the start of the season, was selected to the All-Eastern Wisconsin Conference first team along with being one of three locals named to the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association’s All-Region team.
He was the only Manitowoc County football player to earn Associated Press All-State recognition as he was an honorable mention, selected by a vote of media members, and was named one of five finalists for the Dave Krieg Award, which is given to the top senior quarterback in Wisconsin by WisSports.Net.
In all, Kasper broke six school single game performance records, six season performance records and one career record as he was the only local player to be named to the WFCA All-State first team.
While the Raiders’ season ended in a second-round road loss to state-ranked West De Pere, Kasper ranked first in the state of Wisconsin in total completions, second in passing attempts, third in passing yards and tied for fifth in passing touchdowns upon the completion of the fourth round games.
