Prep girls basketball roundup: Reedsville tops Roncalli

The Reedsville girls basketball team held host Roncalli to 10 in the first half en route to a 43-37 victory on Tuesday night.

The Panthers led 10-6 after the first quarter and 18-10 at halftime. Roncalli trailed 29-22 entering the final frame.

Reedsville was led offensively by Brenna Kiekhaefer who had 15 points all three of the Panthers’ 3-pointers while teammate Kayla Sheahan added 12 points.

For Roncalli, Rachael Moczynski had 13 points with two 3-pointers and Sophie Pitz had 12 points with three 3-pointers. Also for the Jets, Alex Cliff had 10 points.

Four players scored for Roncalli which shot 12-of-19 from the free-throw line. Five players scored for Reedsville, which was 16-of-24 from the free-throw line.

St. Mary Central 53, Manitowoc Lutheran 34

Manitowoc Lutheran fell behind 15-5 to host St. Mary Central and couldn’t recover in the Olympian Conference loss.

The Lancers trailed 31-14 at halftime and 42-23 entering the fourth quarter.

Lutheran did not score more points than St. Mary Central in any of the four quarters.

The Lancers were led by Monique Machut who was the only player to reach double figures for Lutheran as she had 10 points.

Also for Lutheran, Jordan Menges had eight points while MacKayla Menges and Brooke Roberts each added five points.

The Lancers’ Arianna Neumeyer made Lutheran’s only 3-pointer in the game as she finished with three points while the Zephyrs managed to make four 3-pointers in the game.

Lutheran had seven players score in the game while St. Mary Central had nine players score with four making one 3-pointer each.
