Sydney Gutman’s goal in the 29th minute on an assist by Morgan Kelly proved to be the difference-maker in host Valders’ 1-0 win over Kiel on Tuesday.

The goal was set up when Valders’ Paige Neumeyer made a steal on the left wing to get the offense going on the counter attack.

Alena Braun made 11 saves in net for the Vikings (6-4).

Valders forced 15 corner kicks, which kept the Raiders’ offense off balance all game.
