Neenah Rockets

Coach: Bruce Moriarty, 16th year.

Top returning players: Haley Barnes, Sr., OH; Carley Ramich, Sr., MB; Kauri Jensen, Sr., OH; Jenna Butts, Sr., OH; Bailey LeMarche, Sr., S; Jen Johnson, Sr., L; Haley Sedo, Jr., S; Lexi Watt, Jr., MB.

Top newcomers: Hope Werch, Fre, OH; Olivia Weltern, Jr., MB; Cailtlin Kapp, Jr., S/DS; Brianna Frost, Jr., RS/S; Bree Zehren, Jr., DS/L.

Outlook: The Rockets graduated some quality players, but are loaded with talent and could make another run at the state tournament. Barnes is one of the state’s better players, while Ramich was an all-FVA second-team choice. Jensen is back after suffering a season-ending knee injury in sectional play. Neenah remains the team to beat in the FVA.

Eastern Valley Conference

Fox Valley Lutheran Foxes

Coach: Wendy Bixby, 10th year.

Top returning players: Vanessa Buman, Jr, OH; Abby Radue, Sr., S; Jenna Miller, Sr., M; Taylor Hammer, Jr, M; Grace Schultz, Sr., OH/RS; Anne Roblee, Jr., RS/DS; Katie Henzi, Sr., DS-L.

Top newcomers: Amber Schroeder, So, OH; Olivia Tasch, Jr., MB; Emma Henzi, So., MB/OH; Haley Fuhrmann, Jr., DS/L; Mishayna Uhlenbrauck, Jr., M/RS.

Outlook: The Foxes are an experienced, athletic team that may contend for EVC crown.

Little Chute Mustangs

Coach: Whitney Evers, first year.

Top returning players: Anna Biese, Sr., OH; Morgan LeNoble, Sr., MB; Paige Reynebeau, So., OH; Sara Huven, Sr., S/DS; Leah Ebben, Sr., OPP; McKenna Joosten, Sr., MB/OH.

Top newcomers: Katie Aman, Jr., OH; Hope Dercks, Jr., DS; Molly Janssen, Jr., MB; Sara Luitjens, Jr., S/DS; Alaina Schepp, Jr., OPP; Ellie VanLankveldt, Sr., L.

Outlook: Evers — a former professional volleyball player in Europe — is starting her first season as Mustangs coach and will take over a talented Little Chute team that should hold its own with anyone in the EVC. The Mustangs are an athletic team with some versatile performers. They are looking to settle on a setter.

Xavier Hawks

Coach: Nicole Stegall, second year.

Top returning players: Grace Schlicht, Peyton Ufi, Jenna DeShaney, McKenzie Calmes, Olivia Calmes, Mara Obemeier, Morgan Collins, Libby Gill.

Top newcomers; Kayla Gresl, Morgan Ripp, Paige Maertz, Meg Haaas, Heather Sawicki.

Outlook: The Hawks have good returning talent and should be highly competitive in the Eastern Valley Conference. Schlicht and Ufi were both first-team all-conference players last season, while McKenzie Calmes was a second-team pick.

Bay Conference

Seymour Thunder

Coach: Laura Trautman, sixth year.

Top returning players: Brianna VerVoort, Jr, S.; Jaclyn Zahn, So. MB; Emma Ellis, So., RSH/S; Ashley Guerts, Sr., Sr., DS; Lindsey McGlin, Sr., MB; Kristina Herman, Jr., S.

Top newcomers: Kendra Wagner, So., OH, MB; Anna Schenk, So., So. LB; Michelle Wenniger, Sr., OH; Sarah Schultz, Jr., DS, S.
Outlook: Seymour returns good talent and could be a Bay Conference contender. VerVoort, Zahn, and Ellis are all returning starters.

Hilbert Wolves

Coach: Kristen Remington, third year.

Top returning players: Erica Gehl, Jr., OH; April Gehl, So., S; Taylor Schoen, Sr., DS.

Top newcomers: Emma Zahringer, So., DS; Elizabeth Thiel, DS.

Outlook: Erica Gehl was a first-team all-Olympian Conference player in 2012 and leads an experienced Wolves team that will likely contend for the Olympian title. April Gehl, a setter, and defensive Taylor Schoen, are also returning starters.

Chilton Tigers
Coach: Candace Chaussee’, sixth year.
Top returning players: Celene Diedrick, L, Sr.; Ashley Schoenborn, RSH, Sr.; Renee Schmitz, Jr., S; Elizabeth Brandt, Jr., S; Marissa Moehn, Jr., RSH; Ashley Juckem, Jr. MH.
Top newcomers: Margherita Canu, Sr., OH; Taylor Hasse, OS, Fr.; Emily Karls, MH, So.; Ashley Schneider, DS, Sr.; Sydney Hephner, OH, So.; Cheyanne Broeckel, Jr., OS.
Outlook: The Tigers are an experienced team with several third-year starters and Chaussee’ likes the squads team chemistry. Chilton should be very competitive in the Olympian.

Central Wisconsin Conference

Shiocton Chiefs

Coach: Marcia Spaulding, second year.

Top returning players: Jonalee Elliott, Sr.; Leah Wagner, Sr.; Rachael Berard, Sr. Carmen McCarthy, Jr.; Mckenzie Calder, Sr.

Outlook: The Chiefs have good size and should be able to hold their own at the net. Elliot received all-conference honorable mention a year ago and is the top returning player.
