Austin Poganski had a hat trick and an assist to lead the St. Cloud Cathedral boys hockey team to a 7-2 win over Rogers Tuesday night at the Municipal Athletic Complex.

Mitchell Fritz added two goals for the Crusaders (18-6-0) and Tommy Hall and Beau Gerding each had a goal. William Hammer had four assists for the Crusaders.

Josh Robak had 23 saves for Cathedral.

Rogers beat Cathedral in the Section 5A semifinals last season.

ST. CLOUD TECH 1

Matt Brettingen had the lone goal for the Tigers in their loss to the Spuds at the National Hockey and Event Center.

Riley Bates and Tanner Skaja both had an assist on the goal. Tech goalie Austin Althaus had 28 saves. Aaron Herdt had a hat trick for Moorhead.

SAUK RAPIDS 16,
PINE CITY-RUSH CITY 3

SAUK RAPIDS – Tyler Long had five goals to lead the Storm to an easy nonconference win at Sports Arena East.

Mathew Meyer added three goals and four assists for Sauk Rapids while Ryan Rutar, Blake Chapa and Brandon Duray each had two goals. Storm goalie Justin Thorson had five saves.

LITTLE FALLS 6, SARTELL 0

SARTELL – Spencer Fenske and Luke Majerle each had two goals and an assist as the Flyers roughed up the Sabres in a Central Lakes Conference game at Bernick’s Arena.

Ben Newman and Thomas Miller each added a goal and two assists for the Flyers (18-6). Little Falls goalie Michael Stumpf had 29 saves. Sartell (10-10-4) goalie Elliott Brookins had 28 saves.
