After dropping the first set, Wes-Del stormed back for a 21-25, 25-14, 25-23, 25-16 Mid-Eastern Conference home win against Blue River. Alysa Sutton and Megan Clark each had 10 kills for the Warriors, while Maddie Prather posted nine kills and 16 digs. Christina Hughes had 17 kills for Blue River.
Randolph Southern swept Liberty Christian 25-15, 25-9, 25-23 on Tuesday. Morgan Gibson had four kills and six assists, while Mikayla Knoll had eight aces and six digs for the Rebels.
Yorktown opened its season with a tight 3-2 win at Marion. Ian Landwehr picked up the lone singles win for the Tigers with a 6-2, 6-1 victory against Tejas Srikanth.
Winchester picked up a 3-2 win against South Adams on Tuesday night. Dustin Detro, Wes Martin and Avery Walker all picked up singles wins for the Falcons.
Yorktown defeated Central 158-216. The Tigers’ Morgan Clark was the medalist, shooting a 34. Teammate Rachel Johnson shot a 40. Sydney Norris led Central with a 47.
Mt. Vernon won a triangular match, while Delta took second and Shenandoah finished third. Tamara Modglin led Delta with a 41, while teammate Rachel Russell shot a 43. Breanna DeYoung shot a 48 for Shenandoah.
Union edged Monroe Central 220-230 at Maplewood Golf Club. The Rockets’ Sarah Blount took medalist honors with a score of 51.
New Castle fell 2-1 to Greenfield-Central on Tuesday. Devon Hernly had the Trojans’ goal.
Wapahani lost 13-0 to Hamilton Heights on Tuesday.
