Cowan swept a doubleheader from Knightstown, 11-0 in five innings and 6-5. Sara Masters and Makayala Keating each had two hits and three RBIs in the first game for the Blackhawks. Allie McCreery hit a grand slam home run in the second game. Shelby Wilcoxon was the winning pitcher in each game.
Southside split a doubleheader at Connersville to claim its first win of the season. The Rebels lost the opener 5-2. Whitney Vance drove in both Southside runs on a double. The Rebels won the nightcap 1-0. Hannah Smith drove in the lone run. Taylor Donovan scattered seven hits in tossing the shutout for Southside (1-8).
Wapahani split a doubleheader with Alexandria, winning the first game 4-0 and falling in the second game 4-3. Kaija Aikman pitched a one-hitter in the first game and had a double at the plate. Aikman, Aaryka Gray and Angelica McKibben each had three hits for the day.
Central went undefeated at the Invitational it hosted, winning all of its matches by 5-0 score. Meghan Jackson lost one game in her three matches.Kristi Rhodes remained undefeated (8-0) on the season, going 3-0 for the day. Blackford finished fourth, going 0-3.
Yorktown finished sixth at the Park Tudor Invite. Asma Bahrami and Sloane Matheny finished fourth in the No. 2 doubles draw.
Quentin Stuart tossed a one-hit shutout as Burris beat Daleville 6-0 for its first win of the season. Jonny Norris and Thomas Gonya provided Stuart run support with two RBIs each for the Owls (1-4).
Jay County swept Winchester, winning 13-2 in the first game and 7-0 in the second game. Kyle Selvey pitched a no-hitter in the second game, coach Lea Selvey‘s 400 career win.
Cowan split a doubleheader against Centerville. The Blackhawks lost the opener 7-3 and rebounded to win the second game 12-9. Luke Miller went 5-for-7 with a home run, three doubles and four RBIs on the day. Jon Miller scored four runs, stole four bases and drove in two runs in the nightcap.
Delta lost to Pendleton Heights 8-2. Austin Conway hit a two-RBI single for the Eagles. Conway started the game on the mound, but he pitched only 2/3 of an inning before taking a spike to his throwing hand on a play at the plate.
Randolph Southern split a doubleheader with Cambridge City, winning 10-4 and losing 8-7. Jake Wissel had a double in each game and also picked up a win on the mound for the Rebels.
Wapahani beat Union 4-1. Jacob Walters struck out 13 batters in a complete-game effort for the Raiders. Taylor McKee hit a home run for Wapahani. Willie Eviston and Tanner Cates each had a hit for Union.
