VOLLEYBALL

Class 3A No. 5 Yorktown swept in-county opponent Burris. The Tigers (27-2) got a balanced attacking day with six players with six kills or more, led by Marlee Castner‘s 10. Alyssa Peters had 12 of the 31 kills for the Owls (17-16).

Class A No. 1 Wes-Del took a 22-25, 25-14, 25-15, 25-23 win from Class 2A No. 5 Madison-Grant. Alysa Sutton had 16 kills and 24 digs for the Warriors (24-5), and Kennedy Petro had 41 assists.

Cowan swept Southside 25-10, 25-8, 25-11. Kristina Flowers led the Balckhawks (13-14) with 11 kills and Mahlia Flick and Caitlyn Kimbrough each added six.

Winchester swept Hagerstown 25-19, 25-22, 27-25. Bailey Gates had 18 kills and Delaney Miller added 14.

BOYS SOCCER

Yorktown fell 2-0 to Marion at the Kokomo Regional to end its season at 10-9-1.
