Burris beat Winchester 9-6. Travis Warrner pitched a complete game and also had two hits for the Owls. Teammate Quentin Stuart had a double.

Union edged Shenandoah 2-1. Willie Eviston had three hits for the Rockets, and Blake Moore and Keegan Guffey each had doubles.

Blue River beat Cambridge City 19-9 in five innings after a 12-run fifth inning. Pete Wissel had seven RBIs for the Vikings with a homer and was also the winning pitcher.

Monroe Central beat Randolph Southern 12-0. Bracken Barga and Jesse Reum each had three hits for the Golden Bears.


Cowan scored all of its runs in the first three innings and beat Delta 5-1. Sara Masters had three hits, including a home run, to lead the Blackhawks. Mallory Bruner also had three hits. Logan Bland scored the Eagles’ lone run.

Kailie Walden drove in Whitney Vance with a single in the bottom of the seventh inning as Southside beat Anderson Prep 12-11. Morgan Coates had two hits and three RBIs for the Rebels, and Lindsay Keesling had two hits. Mariah Archey pitched two innings of hitless ball to get her first victory in the circle.

Yorktown scored three runs in the top of the 10th inning to beat Shenandoah 4-1. Kendra Saunders singled in the go-ahead run and Morgan Masters hit a two-run double. Winning pitcher Grace Lumpkin struck out 11 and tossed a four-hitter.


Jay County scored 58 points and Southside had 10 as both lost to Connersville (88) in a tri-meet. Zane Shreve (300 Hurdles), Andrew Eley (discus), Tyler Back (shot put) all won individual events for the Patriots.

Marion beat Central 73-54. The Bearcats’ Jace Hirst won the 400 and 800.


Jay County’s 58 points were enough to top Southside (22) and Connersville. The Patriots’ Malarie Houck won the 100 hurdles and Emma Laux won the 200 meters.

Central fell 84-43 to Marion. Shelby Haggard won the 400 and was on two second-place relay teams.


New Castle took a 4-1 loss to Mt. Vernon on Wednesday. Jayda Day earned the lone Trojan win by a 6-2, 6-2 at No. 3 singles.

Central defeated Richmond 3-1 to finish second in the North Central Conference with a 6-1 record. Kristi Rhodes won 6-0, 6-2 at No. 3 singles and Meghan Jackson won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 singles.

Winchester defeated Tri 4-0, with one match called due to weather. Karen Huang won her No. 2 singles match 6-0, 6-0.


South Adams defeated Jay County 181-186. The Patriots’ Evan Mathias was medalist with 43.

Monroe Central defeated Union City 178-204. Chris Stonerock of the Golden Bears was medalist with 42.
