Coach Eric Liebergen’s thoughts
“We’ve asked her to be a little bit more offensive this year. In the past, she’s been a central midfielder for us who would play a lot of defense out of her position as well, and she does great with transitions, which is so important for the midfield. … The great part about Katie’s game is she’s found ways to set other people up as well as create chances for herself.”
“Altogether, our team is just really — we communicate really well on the field. There’s no negative attitudes, really, we all have a good time together, that’s pretty much why we’re doing so well this year … I feel like I have a lot more confidence this year in myself, which compared to the last years I haven’t had as much. But I’ve been having a lot of good teammates to help me with my success for scoring and assisting.”
