Davey or Dave

Sports David competes in:

Baseball, football and basketball

All-time team sports achievement:

“Winning conference for football junior year.”

All-time individual achievement:

“Being voted a captain by teammates in multiple sports.”

No. 1 athletic goal:

“Never settle for anything less than your best.”

David’s thoughts:

“As a team to try to adjust with the different schedules because of the weather and to compete and finish in the top half of the Olympian Conference. Individually I would like to be successful at the plate and in the field and be a good team leader.”

Coach Dave Uhlhorn’s thoughts:

“David is a 4 year starter for me receiving all-conference honors in his freshman and junior years. I expect Dave to have similar results and be a leader again this year. David has been a staple of this team and has seen his shares of ups and downs going from a season where we have three wins to a regional championship last year. So nothing should phase him as he continues to lead the team and be a solid outfielder for us. David has a chance to break many team records this year and become one the best players I have coached. David’s work ethic has been second to none throughout his four years at Manitowoc Lutheran and it would be great to have him end his high school career on a positive note.”
