Brock’s thoughts

“I think we have the potential to be really good. We have to do a better job on defense and get off to a better start in games. We seem to start off slow the first quarter but then come on strong as the game goes on. We need to play a complete four quarters of basketball like we did at the end of the year last year. Individually, I need to do a better job with my free throws and knocking down open shots. Being efficient is the key to my game so I need to continue to work on making the shots I have.”

Coach Steve Brooks’ thoughts

“Brock’s got to be our team leader. He was our leading scorer last year, our best defender and he’s picked up where he left off. He’s found a way to score even though other teams have put their best defender on him. He’s not a selfish player and he’ll do whatever it takes to help the team win. He’s been a three-year player, playing the varsity for me all three. He wasn’t a starter as a sophomore but he earned that spot because he defended so well. I think his game has come along and gotten more complete and better. The other kids on the team recognize there’s certain things he can do have learned to play with each other but with him as well.”
