Bryan Dobzanski connected on a walk-off single to lift the Crusaders to their third consecutive John Rose Tournament title at Bridgeton.

Delsea senior Nick Freijomil earned tourney MVP honors, going 4-for-6 in two games while pitching a complete-game win over Cumberland in the semifinals.

Diedra Turner delivered a two-run single as the Cougars broke up a 1-1 game with a three-run sixth inning en route to their fifth win in the last six games. Courtney Miller and Bridget O’Brien each had RBIs and Jenna Montana gave up one unearned run and five hits for the victory.

Carly Linus went 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs and Stephanie Walsh was 2-for-2 with an RBI as the Chiefs rolled past the Red Raiders. Sam Monfredo earned her ninth win, giving up six hits while striking out three.

Corie Collins was 2-for-4 with a triple, two RBIs and a run scored, but it wasn’t enough as the Thunderbolts fell. Lauren Tobolski was 2-for-3 with a run.

Korri Harmon and Giana Anglani each went 2-for-3 for the Villagers, who couldn’t hold on to a 2-0 lead after the first inning.

Nick Calabrese made a birdie and posted a 2-over 38 as the Lions posted their best score of the season with a win at Sand Barrens. Mike Maguire also shot 38 while Zach Steelman carded a 41 and Ernie Scoma shot 42.
