The Fighting Clan got a tough test from the Eagles, but were able to pull through and improve to 4-1 on the season.
Rachel Bernhardt and Courtney Middleton each won two individual events for Vineland while Rachel Smith touched first in the 400-yard freestyle in a career-best 4:54.35.

The Fighting Clan won the final event, the 400-meter freestyle relay, to secure Thursday’s win over the Eagles. Mark Novatorskiy, Johnny Malatesta, Tylar Warfle and Eddie Parks clocked in with a winning time of 3:45.34.
Parks also won both the 200 individual medley and the 100 butterfly.
Vineland hadn’t swum a meet since Dec. 20.
Sacred Heart 60
The Cougars had five different individual winners as they improved to 5-1 on the season. Julie Wriggins, Stephanie Creighton, Matt Pennock, Keith Harris and Eric Bradway all touched first for Schalick.
Sacred Heart’s Ernie Scoma was the only swimmer to win two individual events.

Dwight Morrow 52
Mike Greenman had 19 points and seven assists to lead the Hermits past Dwight Morrow in Englewood, a two-hour-plus drive from the Prep.
David Sullivan added 17 points and six rebounds, Joe Gatto chipped in 10 points and Mike Vasturia finished with nine points and 14 boards.
Wesley Savage scored 17 for the Colts, but it wasn’t enough as Gloucester’s Stefano Okora was nearly unstoppable as he poured in 30 points to lead his team to victory.
