The Pirates dealt Sacred Heart its first Cape-Atlantic League United Conference loss of the season in convincing fashion.

Lions forward Michael Holloway Jr. led all scorers with 23 points in a losing effort. The game was tied at 33-33 at halftime before Cedar Creek scored 20 points in the third and fourth quarters, respectively, to pull away.

Buena 40

Trayvond Barbary led Buena with 17 points and Jalen Stratton added seven points and seven boards in the loss

The Crusaders’ Eddie McWade led all scorers with 23 points, but the game was won at the foul line, where Wildwood Catholic converted 20 of its 26 attempts. Conversely, Buena went to the line just five times and went 4-of-5.

Destiny Thompson recorded 15 points and 13 rebounds while Jovan Childers added 19 points, five rebounds and five assists for the Bulldogs in their road win over the Colts.
