SPRING ARBOR

Angus Bennett had 18 points and 11 rebounds, but the Albion High boys’ basketball team dropped a 73-62 decision to St. Johns on Saturday at Spring Arbor University.

Also for the Wildcats (2-9 overall), R.J. Haas had 13 points and six rebounds, Matt Skinner had 13 points, and Quinton Welch had five points and 10 boards.

WRESTLING

Comstock Invite (Friday): Pennfield earned its first outright invitational title of the season by taking the crown at the 10-school event with 151 points. Also, Olivet was sixth with 117 points.

For the Panthers — who also have a second-place tourney finish to their credit this season — Austin Tuttle was the champion of the 125-pound weight class with a record of 3-0. Tuttle also was a title winner at the invite last season.

Additionally for Pennfield, Kurtis Babcock was runner-up at 103 pounds with a 2-1 record; Dylan Huff was runner-up at 119 at 2-1; Nick Burnett was third at 130 at 2-1; Storm Vanhyfte was fourth at 160 at 2-2; Nick Schwarz was third at 171 at 3-1; Justin Parker was fourth at 189 at 2-2; and Taylor Dean was fourth at 215 at 2-2.
