Chris Pahl deflected a shot off his head in the 42nd minute to give Marshfield a 1-0 win over Wausau East in a Wisconsin Valley Conference boys soccer game Tuesday.
Paul’s goal came off a scrum in front of the Lumberjacks net set up by a crossing pass from Zach Leggon. It gave the conference-leading Tigers a season sweep of East.
“It was just being in the right place at the right time,” Marshfield coach Ron Todryk said of the lone goal.

Darien Molter had 17 digs and three aces, while Anna Ripp and. Sara Dasler chipped in with 13 and 12 assists, respectively.

Marisa Johnson and Tynae Phillips recorded 25 and 19 kills, respectively, and Johnson added 36 digs as the Rockets won in five games.

Lindsey Vaughan led the Rockets with 40 digs, and Brooke Kettleborough added 53 assists.

PITTSVILLE – Emily Kind and Morgan Wirkus both had 12 digs and Kia Lechleitner added 11 as the Raiders earned the Marawood Conference South Division sweep 25-21, 25-17, 25-20.
Kind led the Raiders with 11 kils, and Julia Anderson had a team-high 20 assists.
Carly Solatycki had six kills for the Panthers, and Briana Ziemendorf had 15 assists.
Medford 3, Rhinelander 2
RHINELANDER – Jackie Farmer had 12 kills three blocks and seven digs as the Raiders won the final two games to take the Great Northern Conference matchup 21-25, 25-23, 20-25, 25-22, 15-10.
Victoria Lammar had three aces, 22 assists and seven digs. Brooke Smola led the way with 16 digs.
Columbus Cath. 3, Loyal-Granton 1
Hannah Kruse had 13 kills and Hannah Zarnke added 25 digs as the Dons won the Cloverbelt Conference East Division matchup in four games 25-18, 19-25, 25-20, 25-14.
Tara Brock added 19 assists for Columbus Catholic.

STRATFORD – Mariah Whalen and Shaefer Rupar combined for 26 kills and Abbey Fox had 30 assists as the Cardinals swept the Marawood Conference South Division matchup 25-7, 25-20, 25-12.
Mackenzie Hannan had nine kills and 10 assists to lead the Tigers. Savannah Schillinger had a team-high seven digs.

COLBY – The Warriors swept the Cloverbelt Conference East Division matchup 25-19, 25-22, 25-17.

MARSHFIELD – Marshfield’s Molly Field shot a 44 to finish a stroke behind meet medalist Osseo-Faichild’s Amanda Pederson in the sixth round of the conference meet, held at the Marshfield Country Club.
The Tigers also finished with a round of 188, a stroke behind Osseo-Fairchild as well. SPASH — led by Abbie Ter Maat’s round of 46 –was third with a 197, while Wisconsin Rapids (220) and Neillsville (273) were sixth and seventh, respectively. Cierra Botcher shot a 52 for Rapids, while Haleigh Eisfeldt led Neillsville with a 51.
Marshfield leads the conference race after six legs with 66 points, seven ahead of Osseo-Fairchild. SPASH is fifth, while Rapids and Neillsville are sixth and seventh. Field is second in the individual race by a point.
