MARION – Dathan Smercheck carried the ball only five times for 27 yards, but two of those carries went for touchdowns as Rosholt completed a perfect run through the Central Wisconsin Conference-10 schedule with a 36-0 win over Marion/Tigerton on Friday night.

Jamie Betro led the Hornets with 108 yards on the ground and a touchdown on 11 carries. Nick Lemke added a big play on special teams with a 70-yard punt return for a touchdown.

Rosholt finished the season 7-2 and 5-0 in the CWC-10 and now waits with the other playoffs teams in the state to find out its opponent for next week. The pairings will be announced today.

Iola-Scandinavia quarterback Nick Wavruk completed 14 of 29 passes for 149 yards, and hooked up with Isaac Lashua on touchdown passes of 24 and 17 yards. The T-Birds wrapped up a 7-2 regular season.
