Prep softball: Mishicot sweeps Roncalli in DH

The Mishicot softball team scored in every inning in a 14-2 win over host Roncalli on Tuesday before topping the Jets in Game 2 of a doubleheader 11-10 to sweep a doubleheader in Manitowoc.

In Game 1, Mishicot’s Lindsay Bries pitched a complete game for the win, allowing two runs — one earned — on six hits with no walks and four strikeouts. For Roncalli, Tiffany Abts took the loss, allowing eight runs — four earned — on eight hits and one walk with five strikeouts.

Bries also earned the win in Game 2, allowing 10 runs — five earned — on 12 hits and no walks with one strikeout in seven innings. Christine Roberts took the loss, pitching three innings and allowing 11 runs — six earned — on eight hits and one walk with two strikeouts.

Offensively in the two games for Mishicot Amber Pantzlaff was 4-for-8 with five runs, three home runs and five RBI while Tayler Krause was 4-for-7 with four runs, two home runs, two doubles and five RBI.

For Roncalli, Emily Jagemann was 3-for-5 with two runs, one home run, one triple and two RBI and Katelin Dorow was 3-for-6 with one run and two RBI.

Reedsville 5-6, Brillion 7-1

In Game 1, Brillion opened with three runs in the first inning and Reedsville couldn’t recover in the road loss.

The Lions scored runs in each of the first four innings while the Panthers scored one run in the second inning and two runs each in the third and fifth innings.

Katie Ziemer took the complete-game loss, allowing five earned runs on nine hits and three walks with four strikeouts.

Reedsville was led offensively by Lauren Holschbach (2-for-4 with a double and two runs) and Kayla Sheahand (3-for-4 with two runs).

Like Brillion did in Game 1, the Panthers opened up Game 2 with three runs in the first inning for the win.

Chloe Sebo pitched a complete game for the win, allowing one unearned run on four hits and two walks with three strikeouts.

Hannah Roffers went 2-for-3 with two runs and a double for Reedsville while Sheahan was 1-for-3. Also for the Panthers, Riley Grimm was 1-for-2 with two runs.

Manitowoc Lutheran 6, St. Mary Central 3

In Manitowoc, Lutheran scored three runs in the first inning and never looked back in the win.

Arianna Neumeyer was 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI to lead Lutheran while Kaitlin Radue and Hannah Yagodinski were each 1-for-2. Also for Lutheran, MacKayla Menges was 1-for-1 with two runs.

Jordan Menges pitched a complete game for the win, allowing three runs — two earned — on nine hits and one walk with eight strikeouts.

Chilton 4-10, Valders 1-0

In Game 1 Brittany Erickson went the distance but took the loss allowing four runs — three earned — on four hits, six strikeouts and nine walks.

Michiela Schwoerer paced Valders’ offensively by going 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Alison Brennan-Lehman took the loss in Game 2 going 21/3 innings allowing eight runs — four earned — on five hits and eight walks.

Offensively, Erickson and Nicole Glaeser each went 1-for-2 for the Vikings lone hits of the game.
