Reedsville split a home doubleheader on Monday with Denmark, earning an 11-3 win in Game while falling 8-6 in Game 2.

The WIAA is allowing teams that have been eliminated from their postseason tournaments to play games that were canceled during the regular season because of inclement weather.

In Game 1, the Panthers opened with a five-run first inning and never looked back, adding two runs each in the second and third and one each in the fourth and seventh innings.

Katie Ziemer earned the complete-game win, allowing three earned runs on seven hits and two walks with three strikeouts.

Offensively, Reedsville was led by Lauren Holschbach who was 3-for-5 with two runs and one RBI while Jill Kocian was 3-for-3 with a run and two RBI. Sammy Van Ells also had two RBI for the Panthers while Brenna Kiekhaefer and Ziemer had two runs each.

Trailing 2-1 in Game 2, Reedsville allowed a six-run sixth inning and couldn’t recover despite rallying with five runs in the bottom of the sixth.

Chloe Sebo took the complete-game loss, allowing eight earned runs on 14 hits and one walk with five strikeouts.

Sebo was 1-for-3 with one run, one walk and two RBI while Riley Grimm was 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI. Kocian was 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI.
