Jill Rothstein was 1-for-3 with a pair of runs scored as Rocori defeated St. Cloud Apollo 7-5 in Central Lakes Conference prep softball action Friday afternoon at Apollo High School.

Caitlyn Pederson and Liz Lowery each had two hits for the Eagles. Peterson also collected three RBI.

Paynesville 14-10,
Yellow Medicine East 4-3

PAYNESVILLE – Kayla Schaefer was 2-for-4 with a triple and four RBI as Paynesville defeated Yellow Medicine East in Game 1 of a West Central Conference doubleheader.

Sam Dahl was 2-for-4 with two runs scored, two RBI and a double. Jackie Solum was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a double. Brooke Wuertz was 2-for-3 with a run scored, four RBI and a double.

Bri Stang was 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, a double and a home run as the Bulldogs won Game 2 to complete the sweep. Dahl was 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBI and a run scored.

Kayla Schaefer was 2-for-3 with three runs scored, two RBI and home run. Allie Stanger was 2-for-4 with two runs scored, one RBI and one double. Solum was 2-for-3 with an RBI.

MORRIS 10, MELROSE 3

MELROSE – Abby Olson went 3-for-5 with three RBI and a double as Morris defeated Melrose in West Central Conference play.

Mckenzie Van Batavia went six innings, striking out seven, in the win for Morris.

Justine Revermann went 2-for-4 with a double and a triple for Melrose.

MONTEVIDEO 8-3,
SAUK CENTRE 7-13

MONTEVIDEO – Sauk Centre’s Madison Moritz was 3-for-3 and Jena Klaphake was 2-for-3 in the opener, in which, Montevideo scored seven runs in the last two innings to come from behind for an 8-7 win.

In the nightcap, Liz Ellens and Jordan Gamradt had two hits and four RBI apiece to lead the Mainstreeters to a five-inning 13-3 win.

ANNANDALE 13, GLENCOE-SLIVER LAKE 5

GLENCOE – The frigid temperature didn’t cool Maggie Olson’s bat as the Annandale junior went 4-for-4 to power the Cardinals over the Panthers.

Bree Ahsenmacher went 3-for-5 and picked up the win. Piper Davis was 2-for-4 with a home run for Glencoe-Silver Lake.

KIMBALL 16, UPSALA 5

UPSALA – Junior pitcher Alexis Rose pitched all seven innings and notched nine strikeouts as Kimball downed Upsala.

Rose allowed just two earned runs on seven hits while walking six batters.

Junior Stacy Hurrle went 3-for-3 with an RBI, senior Breane Meierhofer finished 2-for-4 with an RBI and senior Raelynn Callander was 1-1 with five stolen bases to lead the Cubs (0-4 CMC, 2-4).

Upsala was led by Katie Ripplinger who went 3-for-4 with one run scored.

ZIMMERMAN 5-7,
ALBANY 2-4

ZIMMERMAN – The Huskies fell in a Granite Ridge doubleheader at Zimmerman late Thursday night.
