Trailing 7-1 entering the bottom of the fifth, the Roncalli softball team scored six runs over the final three innings but came up short in a 10-7 home loss to Brillion on Friday.

Tiffany Abts took the loss, allowing 10 runs — just three earned — on 10 hits and three walks with two strikeouts.

Offensively for the Jets, Christine Roberts was 3-for-5 with two runs and an RBI while teammate Hannah Severin was 4-for-4 with one run, one walk and three RBI. Also for the Jets, Emily Jagemann was 2-for-3 with one walk and two RBI.

Reedsville 10-15, Valders 1-4

In Game 1, leading 2-1 entering the bottom of the sixth inning, Reedsville erupted for eight runs for the home win.

Chloe Sebo pitched a complete game for the win, allowing one earned run on three hits and a pair of walks with 11 strikeouts.

Offensively, the Panthers were led by Riley Grimm who was 2-for-3 with two runs.

Katie Ziemer got the complete-game win in Game 2, allowing three earned runs on seven hits and one walk with seven strikeouts.

The Panthers scored in every inning but the second, including a five-run third to take the lead for good.

Holshbach was 2-for-3 with three runs while Kayla Sheahan was 3-for-4 with two runs. Hannah Roffers and Nichole Mangin each had three runs as well for Reedsville while Grimm added two.

A Valders roster was not submitted to the Herald Times Reporter as of press deadline.

LATE THURSDAY

Man. Lincoln 4 (5)

Leading 1-0, Lincoln allowed Notre Dame to score nine runs in the bottom of the first inning and never recovered in the road loss.

The Ships scored their final three runs in the second inning as Raissa Reynold finished 2-for-2 with two runs while Alyssa Fischer was 2-for-3 with one run and two RBI.

Also for Lincoln, Lainey Braun was 1-for-3 with a run and Sabrina Luedtke was 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Kaitlin Sukowaty took the loss, throwing four innings and allowing six earned runs on 20 hits and five walks.
