MELROSE – The Melrose gymnastics team downed New London-Spicer 146.05-128.77 in a nonconference dual Tuesday night.

The Dutchmen’s Jailyn Brinkman won the all-around with a score of 37.375. Lydia Butkowksi was first on the beam (9.4) for Melrose, which improved to 3-0 on the season.

MELROSE/SAUK CENTRE 105, PARK RAPIDS 81

PARK RAPIDS – Sophomore Ben Heller and Brent Blommel both finished first in multiple events to lift Melrose/Sauk Centre over Park Rapids in nonconference action.

Heller finished first in the 200 freestyle (1:57.66) and the 500 freestyle (5:24.01). Blommel finished first in the 50 freestyle (23.05 seconds) and the 100 freestyle (52.57 seconds).

Heller and Blommel also finished first in the 200 freestyle relay and the 400 freestyle relay with junior Matthew Beste and junior Justin Hoppe.

HOLDINGFORD 41, B-B-E 28

BELGRADE – The Huskers rolled to the Central Minnesota Conference dual win over the Jaguars.

The Huskers got pins from Tazz Taflinger (132 pounds), Jake Knettel (145), Kyle Gerads (160) and Tony Kierstead (170).

Alex Lange (106), Andrew Zachman (126), Zach Scott (138) and Nathan Brinker (195) also picked up wins for Holdingford.

PIERZ 59, ROYALTON/UPSALA 9

ROYALTON – The Pioneers rolled to the nonconference dual win.

Brandon Ortman (106 pounds), Cole Brausen (113), Chris Ortman (132), Evan Woitalla (138), Jordan Goebel (170), Ryley Smude (220) and Curtis Brisk (285) all had pins for Pierz (4-0).

Mitch Lange (195) had a pin for Royalton/Upsala (1-2).
