COON RAPIDS – St. Cloud Tech junior David Scharenbroich and sophomore Ian Hiltner tied for ninth at the Class 3A state golf tournament on Wednesday at Bunker Hills Golf Course.

Scharenbroich shot 77 and Hiltner a 75 to both finish with a two-day total of 150.

Chanhassen senior Cody Seal shot a two-day total of 143 to win the state title by three strokes. Eden Prairie had a 609 to win the team title.

Class 2A boys

JORDAN – Melrose senior Wesley Dickhaus shot a 39 to finish with a two-day total of 114 to tie for 17th. Delano senior Jordan Peters shot a 104 to win the individual state title at the Ridges at Sand Creek. The second day was shortened to nine holes because of rain.

Staples-Motley won the state team title with 443 strokes.

Albany freshman David Schneider shot a 118 to tie for 33rd, Rocori senior Logan Konop shot a 124 to tie for 65th and Albany senior Jordan LeClair shot a 125 to tie for 73rd.

Class A boys

BECKER – Southwest Christian School junior Luke Johnson shot a two-day total of 141 to win the state title at Pebble Creek Golf Club. Mille Lacs won the state title with 652.

Class 3A girls

COON RAPIDS – St. Cloud Tech junior Alexie Portz shot a two-day total of 164 to tie for 19th. Wayzata junior Sarah Burnham and New Prague junior Kenzie Neisen both shot 140 to tie for the state title at Bunker Hills Golf Course.

Edina won the state team title with a 644.

St. Cloud Apollo sophomore Nikki Torgerson shot a 174 to tie for 45th.

Class 2A girls

JORDAN – Rocori sophomore Marja Sorensen shot a 43 for a two-day total of 125 to tie for 18th at the Ridges at Sand Creek. The second day was shortened to nine holes because of rain.

Junior Natalie Roth and freshman teammate Kate Smith shot a 108 to tie for the individual state title and lead Detroit Lakes to the team title. Detroit Lakes had 448 strokes.

St. Cloud Cathedral senior Lucy Gaetz shot a 130 to take 35th place.

Class A girls

BECKER – Russell-Tyler-Ruthton senior Hannah Kruger had a two-day total of 163 to win the state title. Legacy Christian Academy won the team title with 752 strokes at Pebble Creek Golf Club.
