Prep swimming: Foley's Milstroh sets 200 freestyle pool record in victory

FOLEY – Foley defeated Holdingford 101-78 in a nonconference girls swimming and diving dual Tuesday night.

Freshman Kasey Milstroh darted through the water to win the 200 freestyle and beat the pool record by over two seconds with a time of 2:01.20 for Foley.

The Falcons (1-2) were also led by senior Abby Monroe, who won diving (172.75), and Courtney Brambrink, who was first in the 100 freestyle (1:03.23).

Gabby Langerud won the 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly for Holdingford.

MELROSE 62, ALBANY 37

ALBANY – Melrose took first place in every event in the win. The Dutchmen’s Rachel Kulzer won the 50 freestyle in 26.59 seconds and the 500 freestyle (5:45.37).

Albany was led by seniors Carina Achman and Emily Kollodge. Achman finished with a season-best time of 1:21.01 in the breaststroke while Kollodge took second in the 100 butterly with a time of 1:05.37 for the Huskies (0-2).
