In a strange twist of events, the Manitowoc Lincoln Invite ended up relocating due to weather to the Milwaukee suburbs, where the Ships dropped both matches on Saturday.
In round one, Lincoln (10-3) fell to Brookfield Central 5-2 before falling in round two to Nicolet 6-1.
Against Brookfield, the Ships got victories in Nos. 1-2 doubles as Jake Rohrer-Nick Schroeder and Mike Olson-David Wronkowski earned the wins, respectively.
Olson and Wronkowski were also responsible for Lincoln’s lone win against Nicolet while the loss for Rohrer and Schroeder was the duo’s first of the season.
The Ships travel to take on Notre Dame on Monday.
Roncalli also took part in the invite but its results were not submitted to the Herald Times Reporter as of press deadline.
