Howards Grove invite

Kiel’s boys and girls teams each took home titles, and the Raiders’ Aaron Field put his mark on the record books, setting three new meet marks.

Field set a new meet record in the 100 dash, winning in 10.86. That broke a 2005 mark of 11.08 set by Kellen Binder of Plymouth. Nati Lehman of Valders finished second in 11.07, which also broke the old standard.

Field and Lehman also went 1-2 in the 200 (22.19 and 22.27), both passing the old record of 22.28, set by Binder.

Valders’ Michael Evans set his own record, crushing the mark in the 1,600 in 4:27.56 (old record, 4:37.8 by Scott Allen of Port Washington in 2004).

Field also set a new record in the high jump, at 6 feet, breaking by two inches the record set by Matt Borchardt of Random Lake in 2006.

Lehman did take first in the triple jump, and Kiel’s Jake Groth took first in the long jump. Kiel also won the 400 relay (Groth, Jack Meunier, Ramsey Kammerzelt, Justin Bertram) and Valders took the 1,600 relay (Derek Doescher, Tommy Meidl, Krizek, Dayton Goehring).

Joe Egan of Valders won the shot put and discus.

For the girls, Kiel’s 3,200 relay of Cheyenne Woepse, Adrian Lucas, Addison Dahmer and Gretta Binversie shattered the meet record by winning the event in 10:24.13 (old record of 10:31.1 set in 2004 by Sheboygan Falls).

Binversie also won the 800 run, and Kiel also won the 400 relay (Kayla Lallensack, Brittany Jaeger, Emma Field, Eliza Field) and 1,600 relay (Woepse, Madeline Dahmer, Addison Dahmer, Binversie). Madeline Dahmer also took the discus event.

Valders’ Rachael Vogel won both hurdling events.
