Prep volleyball: Notre Dame hands Manitowoc first conference loss

MANITOWOC – Mimi Kapalko tallied 15 assists and 11 digs to help the Green Bay Notre Dame girls volleyball team take sole possession of first place in the Fox River Classic Conference with a 25-23, 25-15, 25-20 sweep of Manitowoc on Tuesday.

Maureen Schick recorded 14 digs; Halie Ferry had 15 kills and two aces; and Britt Wienkers had 12 kills and three blocks to help the Tritons (29-6, 7-0) hand Manitowoc (6-1) its first conference loss of the season.

SUAMICO – Bailey Smaney had 11 kills and five aces in Bay Port’s 25-22, 21-25, 25-19, 25-27, 15-13 victory against Green Bay Southwest.

Valerie Every made 25 assists, Katie Przybylski tallied 15 digs and McKenzie Smaney made six blocks for the Pirates (2-5 FRCC).

Lydia Froistad had 24 kills and 12 digs; Katie Rolefson made 32 assists; and Emily Lawler posted eight blocks in the loss for Southwest.

DE PERE – Morgan Aschenbrenner had eight kills and four aces and Margaret Miller added 11 assists and three aces as De Pere swept Green Bay East 25-12, 25-8, 25-11.

ASHWAUBENON – Sarah Heesacker dished out a match-high 21 assists, Jami LeHaye had 10 digs and Toni Shanle added nine digs as Preble swept Ashwaubenon 25-12, 25-20, 25-20.

Sam Crowley had 10 digs and Erin Dunning added four kills and two blocks for the Jaguars (13-13, 3-4 FRCC).

PULASKI – Cienna Doell had 22 assists, 10 digs and eight aces, Jaisah Lee had 14 digs and Emily Simmons had 10 kills and two blocks as Pulaski swept Sheboygan South 25-10, 25-9, 25-23.

DE PERE – Luxemburg-Casco rallied 23-25, 25-14, 22-25, 25-14, 15-13 to top West De Pere and remain unbeaten in Bay Conference play.

Amanda Oeder had 31 assists, 12 digs and five aces, Sarah Kinnard 19 kills, 15 digs and four aces and Lexi Kinnard had 31 digs. (16-12, 5-0)

Mali Jereczek tallied 13 kills, 24 assists and 11 digs, while Heather Kocken had 16 kills and 18 digs in the loss for the Phantoms.

SEYMOUR – The Thunder defeated Shawano 23-25, 25-16, 25-19, 21-25, 15-5.

Amanda Oeder 31 assists, 12 digs and five aces, Sarah Kinnard 19 kills, 15 digs and four aces and Lexi Kinnard had 31 digs to lead Seymour (16-12, 5-0).

Haley Going had 23 digs, Madison McBride dished out 17 assists and Bella Gonzalez had six kills and six blocks for the Hawks (13-13, 1-3) in the loss.

OCONTO FALLS – Rachael Winter recorded eight aces in Oconto Falls’ 25-14, 25-12, 25-12 sweep of Marinette

Carly Lemke had 10 kills; Liz Watzka made 12 assists and six digs; and McKenna Larsen tallied nine kills, 16 assists and six aces for the Panthers (25-2, 4-0 Bay).

DENMARK – Hortonville topped Denmark 25-19, 25-16, 25-18.

Taylor McMonagle had 15 kills and 18 digs and Emma Lemmens added 20 digs for the Vikings.

WRIGHTSTOWN – Kayla Chosa had 17 kills and eight blocks, Brooke Linzmeier had 20 assists and Brittany Do-McKenzie added 24 digs as Wrightstown defeated Chilton 20-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-21.

SHIOCTON – Courtney Schmidt dished out 14 assists and Jen Dowden had 25 digs, 10 blocks and 18 kills in Bonduel’s loss to Shiocton 17-25, 24-26, 25-18, 25-12, 15-6.

CRIVITZ – Taylor Sodini had 11 assists, eight digs and nine aces, Nicole Motkowski had 16 digs and 12 assists and Carly Dietrich added 18 digs as Peshtigo defeated Crivitz 25-21, 23-25, 25-15, 25-12.

COLEMAN – McKenzie Sadowski had 10 kills and nine digs; Lindsey Kerr made 25 assists; and Brooke Paschek and Sammy Schaal each tallied nine digs in a 25-11, 25-19, 25-18 victory for Coleman (17-4, 10-0 M&O) over Niagara.

Shelby Borchardt totaled 36 digs and Shanna Nordell had 11 kills in the loss for the Badgers.

WAUSAUKEE – Hailey Salter had nine assists and nine aces and Melissa Bushmaker had seven kills, four blocks and four digs as Lena defeated Wausaukee 25-14, 18-25, 25-18, 6-25, 15-13.

Kaylor Delaet had 15 assists and three aces and Crysta Clark had 10 assists and 10 aces for the Rangers.

LAONA – Holly Spaude had eight aces, six kills and 18 assists, while Mesa Zeiter made nine kills to help Laona/Wabeno (19-4, 10-0) sweep Three Lakes 25-20, 25-17, 25-21 and remain undefeated in the Northern Lakes Conference.

FLORENCE – Emma Baumgart had 13 kills, Aly Young had 10 kills and Erin Walker added six kills as Florence defeated Crandon 25-13, 25-15, 27-25.

ELCHO – Makayla Raith had seven kills, Kyleigh Decorah dished out 11 assists and Shelby Ruhland had five kills and two blocks as Elcho defeated White Lake 25-14, 25-20, 24-26, 25-22.

Boys

APPLETON – Andrew Woltman had 14 digs, Gabe Rasmussen had 10 assists and Mitchell Greetan added seven digs as Green Bay West/Southwest was defeated by Appleton North 25-7, 25-14, 25-16.
