Luke Finnel won the 126-pound bracket at Saturday’s Deerfield Invitational as the Mishicot wrestling team recorded 511 points to finish sixth behind winner Random Lake’s 636.
Finnel had a first-round by before winning his next match with a 26-second pin. In his second match, Finnel earned a 9-0 major decision and followed that up with a 6-2 decision in his next match. In the championship match, Finnel won via injury default.
Also for the Indians, Mason Cracraft finished second at 145 pounds as, after a first-round bye, he won three matches via pin before falling in the championship match by 8-3 decision.
Weston Cracraft (120) and Jon Brendemuehl (285) earned fourth-place finishes for Mishicot.

Valders was led by Stetson McCulley, who came in second at 138-pounds, as the Vikings finished 12th out of 16 teams with 47 points.
McCulley lost to Oconto Falls Mitchell Friedman in the championship match via a 5-0 decision, finishing 3-1 for the tournament.
Also for Valders, Brandon Brennan (220) won the third place match via a 8-0 majority decision over Tyler Nelson of Kaukauna.
