Green Bay East senior Jamee Schleis has signed a national letter of intent to play softball at Winona State University.
Schleis, an infielder, led the Fox River Classic Conference as a junior with 22 RBIs and 13 stolen bases and was third in the league with a .466 batting average. She was named first-team all-conference for a second straight year.
“Jamee is a true five-tool player who possesses great speed and power, as well as a strong throwing arm and the athleticism to help us at a couple different positions on defense,” Winona State softball coach Greg Jones said.
* Rick Kremer has been named the girls soccer coach at Ashwaubenon.
Kremer, who is also the school’s boys soccer coach, will be replacing Trevor VanLaanen, who accepted a teaching position in the Kenosha School District.
