Senior guard Kristen Kennedy scored 10 of her game-high 14 points in the fourth quarter as visiting Toms River East pulled away and defeated Southern 52-40 on Friday night in a Shore Conference Class A South game.

The Raiders (9-4, 6-2) outscored the Rams (6-5, 3-5) 14-6 in the fourth quarter.

|Sophomore Amanda Kennedy added 12 points for Toms River East. She had seven in the first quarter to enable the Raiders to be tied at 13-all after the first quarter.

Toms River East outscored Southern 13-8 to build a 26-21 halftime lead.

Southern closed within 38-34 after three quarters.

Allison Spaschak led Southern with 13 points. She had all her points in the first three quarters, including seven in the first.

POINT BEACH 71, KEANSBURG 38: Katelynn Flaherty and Marina Mabrey combined for 41 points in the first half as the No. 8 Garnet Gulls (10-0, 8-0) built a 46-17 lead and went on to defeat the Titans (5-7, 1-6) in a Class B Central game.

Flaherty had 27 points in the first half and wound up with 31. Mabrey had 14 in the first half and wound up with 18.

Kimberly McNelis led Keansburg with 12 points. She had eight in the second half.

CENTRAL 37, PINELANDS 25: Katelyn Kuster scored five of her 11 points in the third quarter as the Golden Eagles (8-4, 6-2) outscored the Wildcats (6-7, 3-5) 13-4 to extend a seven-point halftime lead to 16 as they recorded the win in a Class B South game.

Brianne Allender led Central with 13 points. She was 8-for-10 from the foul line.

Laura Dewey scored all seven of Pinelands’ points in the second quarter and led the Wildcats with 10 points.

JACKSON LIB. 55, BARNEGAT 47: Kyasia White scored 12 of her team-leading 19 points in the first half as the Lions (10-4, 5-2) built a 25-19 halftime lead and went on to defeat the Bengals (4-8, 2-6) in a Class B South game.

Sarah Ridgway had a game-high 20 points for Barnegat. She had eight in the first quarter to spark the Bengals to a 12-11 lead.

TR SOUTH 38, LACEY 34: Anna Bojakowski scored seven of her co-team-leading nine points in the first half and Victoria Alvarez hit some key free throws down the stretch as the Indians (8-4, 7-1) defeated the Lions (2-10, 1-7) in a Class A South game.

Lacey’s Brittany Biele led all scorers with 11 points. She had five of the Lions’ eight points in the second quarter.

MANALAPAN 59, RED BANK 51: Danielle Rizzo scored seven of her 13 points in the first half to help the Braves (3-11) build a three-point lead on the way to defeating the Bucs (6-7) in a nondivisional game.

Red Bank’s Jazz Van Loon led all scorers with 19 points. She had 10 in the second half.

|TR NORTH 51, BRICK 21: Marissa Dusheck scored all 11 of her points in the first half as the Mariners (6-6, 5-3) built a 25-10 halftime lead and went on to defeat the Green Dragons (3-12, 0-8) in a Class A South game.

Kendal Kauffman scored nine of her 11 points in the second half for Toms River North.

MATER DEI 50, RANNEY 32: Shannon Glenn scored seven of her game-high 19 points in the first quarter and Fallon Quigley had four of her 10 points in the first quarter as the Seraphs (5-6, 5-3) built a 14-6 lead and went on to defeat the Panthers (8-5, 3-5) in a Class B Central game.
