The Regina volleyball team beat Iowa Valley 3-1 in a Class 2A regional quarterfinal match Tuesday in Marengo.

The Regals won 25-14, 18-25, 26-24, 25-17.

Tori Owens had 33 kills and 24 digs for Regina, Mac Conlon had 24 digs, Megan Bonnett had 44 assists, and Brandi Rogers had 11 kills.

Regina (17-11) will face West Burlington in a regional semifinal at 7 p.m. Friday at Regina.

Class 1A

* IMS 3, HLV 0: The Class 1A 14th-ranked Iowa Mennonite School team swept HLV 25-16, 25-21, 25-22 in a regional quarterfinal match Tuesday in Victor.

Olivia Yutzy had 23 kills and 10 digs; Casey Perez had five kills, 27 assists, 11 digs and served 12-of-12; Hannah Miller had four kills, seven digs and served 16-of-17 with three aces; Riley Schmieder had three blocks; Natalie Graber served 15-of-15 with one ace; Demi Brezina had 11 digs; and Kristin Davis had 10 digs.

IMS (24-7) will face Belle Plaine in a semifinal match at 7 p.m. Friday in Victor.

CALAMUS-WHEATLAND 3, LONE TREE 0: The Lions lost a regional quarterfinal match 25-16, 25-10, 25-21 in Calamus.

Lone Tree finished 6-20.


* WILLIAMSBURG 3, MID-PRAIRIE 2: The Golden Hawks lost 25-14, 25-22, 23-25, 34-32, 15-7 in a Class 3A regional first-round match in Williamsburg.

Ashley Miller had 11 kills ad 14 digs, Courtney Shalla had 24 assists and 13 digs, Ashley Sojka had 12 digs, and Taylor Kurtz served 19-of-19.

Mid Prairie finished 6-24.
