Cale Lehman hit a double in the fourth inning to help lead the Regina baseball team to a 7-3 win against the Fort Dodge St. Edmond in the West Des Moines Dowling Catholic Tournament on Saturday in West Des Moines.
John Ries pitched the complete game and earned the win.
Fritz Wagner went 3-for-4 with a double. Matt Streb was 2-for-3 with two hits. Payton Raso had three RBIs.
“It was nice bouncing back after last night’s loss,” Regina coach Andy Gahan said of Friday’s loss to North Cedar. “Cale’s double led the charge and got us going in the fourth.”
The Regals were scheduled to play Waterloo Columbus in a second game but it was called in the first inning because of rain.
Regina is 8-3.

Dallas Nye was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs. Tanner Leyden and Joel Shetler each had doubles.
Nye had eight strikeouts against the Golden Hawks, despite taking the loss.
Brent Brenneman was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Aaron Ockenfels went 2-for-4, while Reggie Hostetler had an RBI single.
IMS is 4-5.
* LONE TREE 8, BELLE PLAINE 6: The Lions earned the win in Belle Plaine.
Shay Hudachek pitched 22⁄3 innings in relief giving up two hits. Ty Robertson pitched the last third of an inning and did not give up a hit. Offensively, Alex Yedlik went 2-for-3 with two RBIs.
“We are cutting down on strikeouts and putting the ball into play,” Lone Tree coach Ryan Barnes said.
Lone Tree is 3-4.
