KUSA – All teams prepare for the football season differently throughout the summer, but Regis Jesuit has a unique twist to their summer camp.

They go camping, and not the type of camping that involves smores and hot dogs.

At the beginning of the week, the football team moves into their auxiliary gym and turn it into one big camping site. Most tents consists of flat screens TV’s and gaming systems and outside of the tents is a lone ping pong table.

Each day, the boys wake up for a morning practice and an evening practice, while also eating a total of five meals. When they aren’t eating and practicing, they are living in their makeshift camp site, growing closer to one another.

The Raiders believe this could be a special season, ending with a state championship and the first steps to reaching that goal start during this summer camp.
