Rice Memorial’s Maddie Myers, Rutland and Harwood defended crowns at the Vermont high school girls golf championships Tuesday.

Myers fired an 86 at Proctor-Pittsford Country Club to claim Division II medalist honors for the second straight year.

Rutland ran away with the Division I team title for the second straight year and eighth time in 10 years. Chloe Levins shot 85 for the low round of the day and teamed up with Allie Wolf (91) to give the Raiders a two-player total of 176.

Essex finished in second place at 202 behind Jessica Poratti’s 93 and Erin Murray’s 109, and Missisquoi took third at 208. South Burlington’s 213 was good for fifth place.

Myers shot 43 on each nine to win Division II medalist honors by five strokes.

Harwood seized its fifth consecutive Division team title, with Miranda Milne shooting 91 and Becca Hamel 97 to give the the Highlanders a 188 total and 11-shot edge over Lake Region.
