Senior guard Kaitlyn Neilands scored 18 points and Sam Mahon chipped in 10 Tuesday night for the Ridge High School girls basketball team, which stormed back from an 11-point halftime deficit to earn a 45-38 victory against Montgomery.
Ridge (3-8) went on an 18-4 run in the third quarter.
Zojaha Ayub and Camryn Benz netted 12 points apiece for Montgomery (4-8).
Bridgewater-Raritan 49, Franklin 47: Senior guard Denisha Petty Evans compiled 28 points and five steals to lead Bridgewater-Raritan, which is ranked No. 2 in the Courier News Top 10. Eunice Abogado finished with eight points, including a 3 to give Bridgewater-Raritan (10-1) a 48-43 lead with less than one minute left. Adreana Miller’s 17 points paced No. 3 Franklin (7-4).
Delaware Valley 53, Mount St. Mary 41: Haley Pilone and Shannon Croasdale scored 15 and 12 points, respectively, to pace Delaware Valley. Amber Bourke led Mount St. Mary with 12, while Kristen Davis had 11.
Westfield 54, Linden 52: Lillian Scott led the way with 25 points and Jacqueline Knapp added 13 to lead the Blue Devils to victory. Westfield (7-6) used a 16-4 run in the second quarter to seize control of the game. Keajah Hall paced Linden (8-4) with 19 points.
Pingry 47, Bound Brook 16: Kate Sienko scored a game-high 18 points and added eight rebounds to pace the Big Blue (4-7). Lexi Van Besien chipped in 11 points for Pingry. Marianne Riquelme had seven points for Bound Brook.
North Hunterdon 43, Warren Hills 30: Allison Lane (12) and Alicea Foran (eight) combined for 20 points as North Hunterdon (8-3) halted a two-game losing streak.
North Brunswick 48, South Plainfield 46: Shannon Hughes sunk a layup after an offensive rebound with a minute left to give the Tigers a one-point lead, but Kyra Fox hit a game-winning 3-pointer with 12 seconds left. Katie McLaughlin paced South Plainfield (6-4) with 15 points.
Piscataway 50, East Brunswick 31: Kendra Williams scored 11 points and Kristyn Shea added nine as Piscataway won its fifth straight and improved to 7-5. Allie Warren posted 12 point for East Brunswick (1-11) to lead all scorers.
South Hunterdon 56, North Plainfield 44: Brett Lelie had 21 points and Lauren McBride added 17 for South Hunterdon (7-3). Ashley Marshall had 15 points and Frankie Therasaro added 12 for North Plainfield (3-5).
Phillipsburg 58, Voorhees 30: Rene Kososki’s six points led 10 scorers for Voorhees.
Belvidere 44, Manville 42: The Mustangs fell to 5-5.
Oak Knoll 62, Scotch Plains-Fanwood 51: The Raiders (5-6) fell behind 15-8 and never recovered in suffering their fourth straight loss.
Cranford 55, Union Catholic 27: The Vikings (4-6) were outscored in every quarter, beginning with the Cougars’ 15-8 first-quarter edge.
