Wes-Del won a Class A state title in 2011 and earned its seventh regional championship.

Union repeated as a sectional champion as the Rockets halted Blue River 25-10, 25-15, 25-15 this past Saturday to win the Class A tournament at Tri High.

Kinnaman led the Rockets with a match-high 23 kills in the sectional victory, Kauffman finished with 11. Rodriguez contributed 32 assists.

It was the third overall sectional title for the Rockets, who also won crowns in 2002 and 2012.

Wes-Del (29-6) advances to meet Fort Wayne Blackhawk (24-8) on Saturday in a Class A semistate semifinal at Caston. The winner of that match will face either Washington Township (27-8) or Lafayette Central Catholic (27-9) in the final.
