The nationally-ranked Blackman girls basketball team earned a come from behind road win at Columbia on Tuesday night.
Guard Crystal Dangerfield, who finished with 10 points, made a 3-pointer with 7.3 seconds left to give the Lady Blaze a 45-43 win.
Blackman outscored Columbia 17-11 in the fourth quarter to earn the win. Alex Johnson scored a team-high 14 points for the Lady Blaze.
Stewarts Creek 64, Summit 59 (OT): The Lady Hawks earned their first win in school history to improve to 1-3 on the season. Erica Jones scored a team-high points 22, while sisters Brianah and Brandi Ferby added 16 and 15, respectively.
Creek outscored Summit 11-6 in extra period overtime.
Smyrna 59, Shelbyville 45: Brianne Alexander scored 18 points and Allie Bolton added 11 to help the Lady Bulldogs (2-2) earn the road victory.
Nashville Christian 63, MTCS 49: Abby Buckner scored a team-high 31 points for the Lady Cougars.
Blackman 58, Columbia 32: Reid Pierce recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds and Lukas Hart added 16 points for the Blaze (2-0) in the win.
La Vergne 64, Father Ryan 52: Charles Sutton led the Wolverines with a team-high 17 points, as they improved to 4-0.
Summit 63, Stewarts Creek 56: Jy’lan Washington scored 16, Jalen Fearn had 14 and Cinterious Lyons added 10 points in defeat for the Red Hawks (3-2).
MTCS 84, Nashville Christian 49: David Capps and Derrick Spears scored 21 and 20 points, respectively, for the Cougars (5-0). Ben Brown added 19.
MTCS 28, Westwood 16: Grace Jackson scored 13 points to lead the MTCS girls to the win.
