MORETOWN – Colchester scored a goal in each half as they handed host Harwood a 2-0 loss in high school boys soccer on Thursday afternoon.
Matt Goudie tallied both goals for the Lakers (6-1), while Tucker Jean and Brett Nelson each had an assist.
Liam Mooney made four stops to earn the win.
Lucas Russell made six saves in a losing effort for Harwood (3-4).
* Harwood 3, North Country 0: Sarah Wry scored two goals to lead Harwood to a win over visiting North Country.
Katie Martin added a goal and an assist.
Lauren McMann and Ragan McMann each had a helper for Harwood (5-2).
Martha McKenna made four saves for Highlanders.
Mariah Gonyaw made 14 saves for North Country (3-1-1).
* Milton 2, St. Johnsbury 1 (OT): Deanna Lambert scored with 32 seconds remaining in overtime to lift Milton to a win over host St. Johnsbury.
Adrianna Hurst also scored for Milton (4-4).
Megan scored for for St. Johnsbury with no time remaining on the clock to send the game to overtime.
Bea Brody made 12 saves for the Hilltoppers (1-4-1).
* Spaulding 1, Missisquoi 0: Jaime Marsh scored in the first half as Spaulding defeated visiting Missisquoi.
The Crimson Tide move to 4-4 this season, while Missisquoi falls to 0-7.
* Mount Mansfield 1, BFA-St. Albans 0: Karin Rand scored 10 minutes into the game and Mount Mansfield beat host BFA-St. Albans on Wednesday night under the lights.
Sarah Knakal made 12 saves for Mount Mansfield (4-3).
Dani Schreiner made seven stops for BFA-St. Albans (5-2).
College men’s soccer
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – University of Vermont freshman Bernard Yeboah has been named the America East Rookie of the Week in men’s soccer for the week ending Sept. 22.
Yeboah scored both goals to lead the Catamounts past Hofstra 2-1 in the only game of the week for Vermont (5-1-2).
Yeboah has five points this season on a pair of goals and an assist.
The Catamounts will return from a nine-day layoff on Saturda\\y when they host Hartwick at 1 p.m.
UVM is unbeaten this season at Virtue Field.
