Roundup: Incline leads Division III girls state golf tournament

Mountain View’s Rachel Horita shot a first-round 94 on Thursday to lead the Nevada State Division III Girls Golf Championship at the 5,139-yard, par-72 Toana Vista Golf Course in West Wendover.

Devi Meyers of Incline shot a 96 to trail Horita by two shots.

Incline has a total team score of 431 to lead the the championship after one round. Wells (495) and Battle Mountain (534) follow Incline.

The second and final round takes place today.

Volleyball

REED d. HUG at Hug: Moriah Maluotoga racked up 10 kills, nine digs, two blocks and an ace as the Raiders swept the Hawks in three sets (25-16, 25-17, 25-21) on Thursday.

Kelsey Donohoe added eight digs and Madi Funk had nine kills.

For Hug, Mele Lotulelei finished with seven kills, eight digs and an ace.

BISHOP MANOGUE d. CARSON at Manogue: Kelsie Hill finished with 10 digs, eight kills and five aces to help the Miners defeat the Senators in three sets (25-10, 25-11, 25-20) on Thursday.

Julia Wenzel added seven kills and setter Mikaela DeRicco had 25 assists.
