Roundup: Riverdale volleyball beats Smyrna, Eagleville

Riverdale’s volleyball team defeated both Smyrna and Eagleville on Monday to run its record to 19-7 overall, 4-1 in District 7-AAA.

The Lady Warriors defeated Smyrna 25-20, 25-20, 25-16 and Eagleville 25-13, 25-20 and 25-14.

Ashleigh Lozier was the team’s kill leader with 20, followed by Rachel Vehr with 18. Alicia McClellan added 14 kills.

Dakyla Wells led Riverdale with six blocks. McClellan added five.

Setter Kirsten Inman had 66 assists. Meagan Hoadwonic had a team-high 18 service points and Lauren Petroskey added 17.

Lozier also added 28 digs. Teammate Jena Goodman had 24.

Riverdale plays at Blackman today in a return to District 7-AAA action.

Ravenwood 3,

Siegel 0

Ravenwood defeated Siegel (13-2) for the second time this season, beating the Lady Stars 25-17, 25-14, 25-15.

Siegel played without libero Hannah Poarch, who is out with a fractured shoulder. Tori Simmons led Siegel with 12 kills. Asha Phillips added 13 digs.

Siegel plays at Stewarts Creek today before playing at Brentwood on Wednesday.
