The Wooster baseball team rallied to win the second game of a doubleheader Saturday at North Valleys, 13-3, after losing the first game to the Panthers, 5-2. The victory in the nightcap was the Colts’ first Division I league win this season.

JJ Harloff got the win for Wooster, striking out eight. Cassin Brown went 4-for-5, drove in five runs and doubled for the Colts. Wooster scored 13 runs on 13 hits.

The Panthers’ Christian Fleck got the win in the first game and struck out eight. Gabe Barthold hit two doubles.

Softball

GALENA 8-6, BISHOP MANOGUE 5-10 at Manogue: Cailin Laycox got the win in the first game and went 2-for-4.

Aubrey Slocum had six hits on the day for Galena, including a home run.

Manogue’s Bailey Oos-John got the win in the second game. Morgan Barnes hit a grand slam and Kelly Lujan had five hits on the day for the Miners (14-11 overall, 4-6 league).

DAMONTE RANCH 4-3, DOUGLAS 0-6 at Damonte Ranch: Kalyn Paque got the win in both games, striking out five in the first game and six in the second. Paque homered in the first game, while Briley Brewer went 3-for-3 and tripled.

Chanel Bates homered in the second game and Paque doubled. Bayli West went 3-for-4 with a double.

SPANISH SPRINGS 12-6, MCQUEEN 2-2 at Spanish Springs: Ally Batastini got a win in the circle and doubled in one game of a doubleheader as the Cougars swept the Lancers.

Megan Archer had three hits for the day and a double, while Sady Roulund had two hits, two RBIs and a double.

RENO 12-18, HUG 1-1 at Hug: Reno pitcher Christie Betker got the win, striking out five and allowing three hits, in one game of a doubleheader against Hug. Kylee Spencer, Raylani Kerr, Lexi Cartlidge and Brinna Bass each hit doubles for Reno. Kayla Sisson went 4-for-4 with a triple and a double.

FERNLEY 10-8, FALLON 2-1 at Fernley: Kailey Daggitt got the win in the first game of a doubleheader as Fernley split games with Fallon. Kelsie Callahan hit two doubles. For Fallon, Riley Ricken dobuled.

In the second game, Ricken had a hit and two RBIs and Paige Thorne doubled twice. For Fernley, Callahan doubled.

Baseball

GALENA 5-5, REED 1-11 at Reed: Cole Fenner doubled, homered and drove in two runs to lead Galena past Reed in the first game of a doubleheader. Eric Anderson hit a double and a triple in the first game. For Reed, Mark Nowaczewski doubled.

In the second game, Brandon Kozuth had three hits, homered and drove in four runs to lead Reed. Partick Burrow had two doubles and Kevin Kozuth got the win on the mound.

For Galena, Brock Raggio and Fenner doubled.

SPANISH SPRINGS 8-2, DOUGLAS 3-1 at Spanish Springs: Kenny Semenko went 3-for-4 in the first game and Gehrig Parks pitched six innings to get the win as the Cougars swept the Tigers.

Jeff McCusker was 2-for-3 in the second game and Garrett Covington got the win.

Chase White had two hits and two RBIs in the first game for Douglas and two more hits in the second game.

SPARKS 25-11, INCLINE 7-1 at Incline: Casey Carter hit two home runs and doubled in the first game to lead Sparks in a sweep of Incline.

Carter got the win in the second game, striking out eight, and went 2-for-3 at the plate.

Dustin Alexander and Jared Longland each hit a double in the first game and homered in the second game.

BISHOP MANOGUE 12-12, McQUEEN 0-3 at McQueen: Kyle Pruneau got the win in the opener, striking out eight as Manogue swept McQueen in a doubleheader. Pruneau had two RBIs and Kyle Lewis homered. For McQueen, Robbie Dalpe doubled.

In the second game, Anthony Damonte was 3-for-3 with four RBIs, while Pruneau doubled and scored three runs. The Lancers’ Nate Gadsby doubled and had two hits.

RENO 18-11, CARSON 11-3 at Reno: Garrett Hampson went 4-for-4, doubled and drove in two runs as Reno swept Carson. Hampson had two hits in the second game and doubled. Jeremey Peterson homered in both games. Austin Atkerson doubled in the second game and went 3-for-3 with three RBIs.

For Carson, Luke Maher got a hit and an RBI in the first game, and doubled and homered in the second.
