The St. Mary’s Springs girls’ basketball team cruised to a 73-41 win over Cedar Grove-Belgium in a nonconference game played in Cedar Grove.
Ledgers’ Kelli Schrauth tied her own school-record with 32 points as the Ledgers saw 10 players score. The junior also grabbed a team-high 12 rebounds.
“Once again, it was a real nice team victory. We saw a lot of girls score,” Ledgers’ head coach Mitch Redig said. “Defensively in the third we picked up our intensity to extend the lead. It was Kelli’s night. She would credit her teammates for setting her up for good scoring opportunities tonight.”
Springs jumped out to a quick 18-8 lead after the first quarter and extended it to 33-17 at the half. The Ledgers used a big third quarter (22-11) to put things away.
