The Sheridan girls won three events and finished second to Watkins Memorial for the team title Thursday at the Dick Houston Relays.
The Warriors scored 74 points to the Generals’ 561/2. West Muskingum was 11th (21) out of 14 teams.
Winners for Sheridan included the 6,400 relay (23:13.4) of Jessi Habegger, Andrea Mick, Denae Forgrave and Katy Foltz; the high jump (13-feet-8) of Natalie Eberts, Amy Craig and Parker Milby and the lap medley (13:36.3) of Andrea Mick, Jordan Patterson, Denae Forgrave and Jessi Habegger.
The pole vault (15-6) of Natalie Eberts and Ellie Noll were second. The shuttle hurdles (1:13.9) of Karlie Cade, Natalie Eberts, Emily Mullins and Jane Oberhauser; and the 1,600 relay (4:28.7) of Mick, Oberhauser, Denae Forgrave and Haley Miller were third. The 3,200 relay (11:23.3) of Foltz, Habegger, Lydie Forgrave and Madison Emmert came in fourth.
Top finishers for the Tornadoes were the shot put (76-10) of Kiley Ross, Erin Weingarth and Shania White, who were third. The discus (213-1) of Macy Meadows, Ross and Weingarth; the lap medley (14:07.8) of Thaina Gatti, Mariah Lynn, Madison Paul and Lauren Paul; and the 1,600 relay (4:37.1) of Kenzie Hill, Gatti, Meadows and White all finished fifth. The 64,00 relay (25:37.9) of Lauren Paul, Madison Paul, Abbi Brock and Shelby Hewitt were sixth.
Watkins won the boys meet with 97 points. Sheridan was fifth (461/2) and West Muskingum 12th (6).
The high jump (17-4) of Ethan Snider, Justin Snider and Matthew Freville, and the lap medley (11:14.7) of Justin Snider, Mac Bloom, Joey Palumbo and Matt Bromley each came in second to lead the Generals.
The 3,200 relay (9:15.3) of Bromley, Palumbo, Mac Bloom and Garret Gwinn, and the 800 relay (1:37.7) of Ethan Snider, Connor Smith, Ryan Powell and Freville were third. The long jump relay (36-2.75) of Snider and Michael Dorisi and the shuttle hurdles (1:08.3) of Smith, Freville, Josh Stewart and Jacob Stewart placed fourth.
Logan Clark and Jack Mills teamed up to take fifth in the pole vault (19-6) and sixth in the high jump (10-6) for West Muskingum.
