It’s a game for a cause.
New Holstein and Kiel girls soccer teams plan to raise money during a game April 29 to support scholarships honoring three Campbellsport students killed last year in a car accident.
Caitlin Scannell, Katie Berg, and Sabrina Stahl all were killed in the Feb. 4 accident. All played soccer, and Caitlin and Katie would have been seniors this year.
The game will take place at New Holstein High School. A junior varsity game will start at 5 p.m., with the varsity headliner scheduled for 7 p.m.
An admission donation of $3, as well as a portion of concession stand sales that night, will go toward the cause.
Kiel is planning a similar fundraiser when it hosts New Holstein May 28.
People interested in donating or helping should contact New Holstein soccer coach Nate Laabs at email@example.com.
