HIGHLANDS RANCH – Rock Canyon advanced to the quarterfinals of the 5A state tournament after beating Arapahoe 2-1.

Josh Kracke of Rock Canyon scored in the second minute of the game on a pass from Andrew Greiner to give the Jaguars a 1-0 lead.

With just over 11 minutes left in the 1st half, Gabe Krzywdzinski would find Max O’Rourke to give Rock Canyon a 2-0 lead heading into the half.

Arapahoe would get on the board in the second half, but it wouldn’t be enough, as Rock Canyon held on for the win. The Jaguars will host Heritage in the quarterfinals on Nov. 2.
